Bst 4.0 DNA聚合酶为Bst 3.0 DNA聚合酶和极其耐热的Max65反转录酶（耐受65°C）的混合品，该酶适合于RNA的LAMP反应。与Bst 3.0 DNA聚合酶相比，其反转录活性提高了近100倍，可以检测低灵敏度的RNA分子。该酶在以RNA为模板的LAMP实验中，做为推荐用酶，其扩增能力高于Bst 3.0 DNA/RNA聚合酶。除此外，该酶同样可以进行DNA模板的LAMP扩增。
